Nancy Koziol, Founder

An internationally-certified wine expert, author, and journalist, Nancy created couch + cork to share her deep knowledge of wine in a fun, safe, and approachable way. She combines her love of teaching, passion for wine, and experience traveling global wine regions to bring the best part of wine — connection — right to your couch or boardroom.

Nancy is deeply rooted in her local business community and believes in collaboration over competition. couch + cork regularly sponsors regional events, including programming by the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce and Bennington Theater. She was named 2020 Member of the Year by the Chamber and continues to support fellow Vermont entrepreneurs and creatives whenever possible.

Nancy is a contributing writer for HuffPost and Santé and serves as a judge for national and international beer, wine, spirits, and RTD cocktail competitions.

When she’s not leading tastings or curating new experiences, Nancy can be found in the wilderness with her husband and dog, traveling, or soaking in live music. A Brooklynite by temperament but a Vermonter by choice, she brings her signature blend of humor, heart, and hospitality to every couch + cork event.
